We joined The Cult (not a cult--THE Cult)

Yes, that photo is from our camera at KFMA Day. Darrick got some excellent shots and video clips (The Cult; The Strokes). So sad that we can get only 30 seconds at a time, but how great that we got those 30-second segments at all.

Incredible shows, and our first chance to get out and do something together, now that Laszlo is doing better. Woo hoo! Posted by Picasa

The Cult? Cripes, who knew? I completely forgot you setup this blog site and to boot you saw one of my favorite bands of all time! I just recently saw them here in March, otherwise I was tempted to abandon my pregnant wife for the day and roadtrip down there. Were they selling CDRs of the show there? I've got a copy of the one here, let me know if you'd like me to mail it to you.

It was an incredible show. When they came on stage, the air changed. We were talking about how you could tell, compared to most of the earlier bands, that these guys were pros, just a definite difference in the whole show compared to the earlier bands. Definitely charisma was part of it, and confidence, but it was also just, I don't know. I can't put my finger on it.

We had so much fun. We didn't notice any CDRs, so if you've got a copy, mail away! That would be awesome.

Will do... during the end of Sweet Soul Sister at the show I saw, Ian was twirling his mic around and fell on his ass. I thought at first he wasn't going to get up and was afraid I had paid forty bucks for two songs (nevermind his wellfare). At any rate, you'll know at the end of the song why there's no singing... I find it quite funny he decided to take his embarrassment out on the crowd by cursing us, like someone had thrown a banana peel on the stage or something. I'll get that show in the mail post haste.
